This channel is dedicated to the great Chet Atkins!! He was for me the greatest guitar player who ever lived. And I'm not the only one with this oppinion. He was an inspiration and influence for players like Lenny Breau, Tommy Emmanuel, James Burton and Mark Knopfler (to name a few).

Performed by a 13-year-old Tommy Jones on Country Music Holiday. He was one of the best to ever pick up the guitar. We have to remember him!
Lenny Breau - My Funny Valentine - Rare TV Performance

Live on Nashville TV. This is a rare clip of Lenny Breau, performing this Jazz standard live in a TV show. Long time ago since jazz music was played on TV. Not the best video quality, but it is indeed a treasure for Lenny fans! I reduced the noise because the original audio was full of noise. The bass player here is Jim Ferguson.

This is the young guitar prodigy Tommy Jones (R.I.P.) playing this classic live at the age of 17 (Video is from 1972)!!! This video was uploaded a while ago, but sadly taken down. We have to keep Tommy's music alive, because he was a genius and one of the all-time best fingerpickers!!! His mentor Chet Atkins would tell you so!

Wow..Peavey world!!
Goblin drill evo
So good
Just cant listen to this without seeing Benny chasing half naked women around
Chet was my 2nd favorite of all time. It sure was close between him n Roy but id just have to give Roy the GOAT nod. Two of the greatest no doubt.
That was really great lovely call outs and great lyrics too
Those who play guitar like myself.... watch it many times. He made it one of my favorites too.
Make it count son!
There are better, cleaner versions on YT. Better guitars too with a less tinny tone.
Love this song. Just found due to Chris Stapleton channel. What have I been doing with my life??
U hoolhhko
Well Done Chet' Great to watch, I will have to pracctice more.. Brillll.
The Gibson L-4 is dancing by greatest guitarist.
Roy Clark must have been pretty excited when he heard Chet Atkins was going to be the guest on hee Haw 😊
Both were great players. Chet had a larger composition portfolio. Add Glen Cambell and J. Reed. All however owe dues to Les Paul as do many Rock guitarist too.😊
That guy was amazing❤
I used to play all over N Am 40 years. I watched this and I am DONE,
The greatest college ball coach to ever live!
Water Boy!
…where did he get those pussy chords?
Did a Peavey truck breakdown outside that gig!. Alex Harvey does a tremendous version of this track.
GTA SA🇧🇷🇺🇸❤
Jerry Reed was always classy and fun. He's the reason I own a guitar.
Jerry doesn't get half the recognition he should as a guitar player, one of the greats!
Brasil, 2024, muito bom o som, tento tocar o estilo de vez em quando
Cocaine Joe Boughtbytheyen with Skill's!
Got to see him in Chastain Park Amphitheatre a long time ago,a long with Floyd Cramer ,Pete Fontaine and a whole lot more.Since I play a sax,my hero was there too,Boots Randolf. What a concert.I was maybe twelve.
The words are amazing and fi 3:42 x the music perfect. 🎸🎷🎹🎼🎼🎼🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
What an outrageously great guitar player, but how did Jerry Reed get saddled into his *entire* band playing those TERRIBLE Peavey guitars? I've played most of those models seen here. There's a reason why Peavey isn't really known for their guitars.
Jerry, Roy Clark and Glen Campbell are 3 of the most underrated guitarist's ever. The skill they had supercedes every modern player to date. I saw Jerry once when I was a kid, probably 35 yrs ago. He played a little local festival here in southern Illinois. To the other kids he was just some old guy playing music that our parents listened to. But for me, being that I was familiar with his work, he was a guitar god. Just to actually see him live was and still is one of the best times of my life. I was lucky enough to get his autograph on vinyl. Unfortunately it has long been lost. But that night I got to see one of my guitar heroes in action. It was amazing.
One more, Jim Stafford! I agree with your list tho!
What guitars are they using?
Best chicken picking guitars in 80’s
Every guitarist alive today stands on the shoulders of this legend.
45 minutes Southeast of Thibodaux Louisiana is a lot of saltwater. Not a bit of land anywhere!
Ain't nobody like Chet Atkins:)
This song is probably one of the hardest songs I’ve tried to learn on guitar, with a pick. And he plays it effortlessly with a thumpick and nails, absolutely insane.
Willie went outlaw trying to pick out of the pocket and offbeat. Chet smacked him on the nose like a puppy by going on to knofler. Intimidate one of the greatest country artists of all time.Tells you how much he was respected. He’s another Les Paul when it came to recording.
When Willie went Outlaw and tryed picking out of the pocket and offbeat he looked liked a little kid when Chet went on to knofler like he was being a H.S. Principal. If you can intimidate one of the greatest artists of all time. You can be the bouncer too.
4 guitars
I love the latent comic genius of Roy Clark, always just about to brim in hilarity over his magnificent virtuosic guitar playing.
If it's not George Bush then who is it?
Chet Atkins!!! One of the best guitarists ever!!!
👍👍👍👍📀💽🎼🎸🪕🎻🎬❤❤❤❤❤ it’s wonderful, thank you!
Not bad for a 70's handler of MKUltra participants of the time like Cathy O'Brien.
Seriously now, my childhood is a blur of confusion! I saw it written today that he said "named him after a man of the cloth..." And I 💯 always thought he said "man with a claw..." Because he only had one hand. I watched this and I can still see both possibilities. Man of the cloth??? What?
He can sing and talk 😂❤
